Getting a degree in international business means adding a global perspective to an already rigorous educational program. Several top private and public colleges in North Carolina offer such programs, some undergraduate and some part of MBA degree programs. Usually, part of these international business programs take place abroad and the rest in North Carolina.

Duke University

Duke University's Fuqua School of Business offers an international business degree to its MBA students. Duke's Global Executive MBA is a 15-month program takes students on a whirlwind tour of the globe, starting and ending in North Carolina, but asking them to spend three terms abroad in between. The first is in St. Petersburg and London, the second in Dubai and New Delhi, and the third in Shanghai and Bangkok.

North Carolina State University

North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management offers a International Business dual degree, in which students earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from NC State and a bachelor's degree from a partner institution abroad. Students must be fluent in a second language -- Spanish, French, German or Italian -- and spend much of their undergraduate careers abroad. Two years of the program take place at NC State and two more take place at a partnership institution in Europe. Students also complete a 10-week internship at home and a 22-week internship abroad.
