Loyola Marymount University, or LMU, does not have a specified minimum GPA needed for acceptance. However, the students accepted to the school in 2012 averaged a weighted GPA of 3.77 and an unweighted GPA of 3.54, according to the school's admission profile. The school accepted 5,976 students to the 2012 class, which was roughly 50 percent of the applicants.

The admitted freshmen student group in 2012 also achieved an average SAT total score of 1811, with a combined score of 1205 on the critical reading and math sections of the test. During the same year, almost 2,000 students applied for a transfer to LMU, and 39 percent of these applicants were admitted. These students had an average college GPA of 3.37.
