Rhode Island School of Design

“U.S. News World and Report” takes in a number of considerations when ranking schools and degree programs. Being ranked No. 1 for their graphic design programs, Rhode Island School of Design located in Providence, Rhode Island proves to be a popular favorite. They offer several degrees including a four-year undergraduate Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, a two-year Master of Fine Arts and a three-year MFA. Yale University

They aren’t just known for medicine and humanities; “U.S. News World and Report” ranks them No. 2 for having an exceptional MFA in graphic design. Yale’s program places students in studio work monitored by faculty weekly meetings and includes five or six-person group thesis meetings on a biweekly basis. Students also learn via world-class lectures, presentations and workshops but are expected to have their own personal computers for use in the university’s labs and in the designated work space reserved to every student.

Maryland Institute College of Art

Coming in at No. 3, Maryland Institute College of Art located in Baltimore offers a post baccalaureate certificate in graphic design that is tailored for students who strive to work with talented and dedicated peers in a program filled with challenges.
