University of California at Davis

Colorado State University
Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences receives more federal research money than any other veterinary program. The Colorado State program is also known for its equine orthopedic research center and Animal Cancer Center. North Carolina State University
Located in the state capital in Raleigh, N.C. State is a large public university with a highly rated veterinary program. Those studying for a doctorate of veterinary medicine may specialize in one of the following areas: Companion Animal Medicine, Food Supply Medicine, Biomedical Research, Ecosystem Health, Equine Medicine and Animal Welfare. Also of importance is Veterinary Teaching Hospital and several research centers related to the veterinarian fields.
