Devices Connected to My Netflix Account

Through Netflix's streaming option, you can have up to four different devices registered to your account to watch your favorite movies and television shows on. However, Netfliz is cracking down on password sharing and the amount of devices you can have on one account at a time. Netflix keeps tabs on all your registered devices under your account, and you can check the list whenever you sign in on a recent device.

Verify which devices are connected, or remove and replace them with a newer device through the Membership Plan section of your account page. If you are having issues using Netflix on a new device, you may need to sign out of Netflix from one of your other devices first before access. Netflix uses IP address checking to see what devices you have in use on your account, for both Apple iPhone, Android and other device options.

Your device streaming activity is monitored by the platform so they can limit how many users and devices can utilize one account at a time. Netflix is only one option of the streaming services to allow for streaming of tv shows and movies to be streamed on multiple devices and accounts at once. For those that watch Netflix often with shared family accounts, you may need to change passwords if there are too many connected devices to help narrow down which can be connected at a time.

There shouldn’t be a limit on how many of your devices can be on the same wifi network, but smart tvs can also take into account a device number in your limit. Some devices or gadgets may not allow you to log in if you have reached the limit already in your account usage, but some people have found hacks in the system for IOS, Microsoft and Android uses.

Log In and Check It Out

To see which devices are currently connected to your account, visit Netflix.com and sign in. The information associated with your membership is listed under the “Your Account” link in the upper right corner, regarding your overall account settings. The “Manage Devices and Computers” link under the Plan section lists all devices you have connected to your Netflix account. Remove devices you no longer use through the “Disconnect Devices” button to update your account and make room for new devices in the future.

The settings section in your accounts, normally in the top-right corner, shows your profile icon, notifications and settings, as well as options for new password creation. These settings can be found on both the Netflix website as well as in the Netflix app on your devices. Your Netflix profile and Netflix password can only be shared with so many people at a time, so make sure you manage a list of devices as well as manage download devices for downloading and streaming offline purposes (as the mobile app allows for downloads and watching in offline settings). The profile section normally has a dropdown menu of choices for settings and categories needed for each account.
