Everybody wants to look their best on the first day of school. Especially if it is your very first day in middle or high school, looking hot might be very important to you. Whether we like it or not, the impression that you make on others that first day, could stay with you for the rest of the year.

Start preparing for the first day of school a couple of weeks before school begins. If you have been careless about your eating habits over the summer, get them back under control. Eat a healthy balanced diet, and do some form of physical exercise every day. This not only helps you to look hot, but it gives you the self confidence you need to face that first day with enthusiasm.

Experiment with hairstyles the week before going back to school. Try curling it, braiding it, or straightening it to see what looks best on you. Get a cut if your hair has gotten shaggy over the summer. Decide what style makes you look best and practice it during the week so you can fix your hair just right the morning of the first day.

Get back onto a good sleeping schedule the week before school starts. If you have gotten used to staying up late and sleeping in, you are going to have a hard time adjusting to the early mornings. Avoid looking tired when you go back to school by going to bed early and setting your alarm to get up in the morning. You won't look hot for the first day if you have bags under your eyes.

Think about what color of clothing looks best on you. Pick out your first day of school outfit in advance so you don't make mistakes in your choices when you are rushing in the morning. Choose an outfit that you feel good in. If you feel good about yourself, your confidence shows and you are sure to look hot.

Go easy on the makeup when getting dressed for your first day of school. You want to look hot, but not trashy. Save the heavy makeup for parties. Limit your school makeup to a light colored eye shadow, mascara and lip gloss.

Eat a good breakfast before leaving the house for your first day of school so you have the energy you need to be outgoing and personable at school
