Ohlone College is in Fremont, a East Bay community between San Jose and Oakland. The campus itself features a lot of new buildings. It is also in the hills surrounded by the historic San Pedro neighborhood. The hilly campus is not convenient for physically disabled students; there are many buildings that are hard to access. But if you love exercise, you will get a lot of it just going from the parking lot up the series of more than 100 steps to the heart of the campus. Ohlone also has one of the largest populations of deaf students in California. The campus has a popular broadcasting school, computer sciences program, real estate program and nursing school.

Berkeley City College
Berkeley City College (BCC) formerly known as Vista Community College, is in the heart of Berkeley. It is also very close to the University of California, Berkeley (better known as Berkeley), and many students will take classes at Berkeley while completing their AA degrees at BBC. BCC students have access to the very diverse culture of Berkeley, which provides an array of ethnic food restaurants, street vendors and creative outlets. A drawback to BBC is parking. Since BBC is in the heart of such a crowded city, it lacks space, so it is best to commute to the college by BART train, bus, or bike. It is also quite expensive to live near campus, more affordable housing is in nearby north Oakland. BBC is well-known for its graphic arts and video programs.

City College of San Francisco
The City College of San Francisco (better known as City College) is in San Francisco, and it truly offers a large city, urban environment. City College is spread out into 10 different campuses, which houses 70 computer labs, and educates more than 10,000 students per year. City College is well-known for its creative degree programs such as Fashion and Culinary Arts. The City College is especially perfect for students looking for opportunities away from campus. Whether employment or social, the city of San Francisco has something for everyone. Like any college located in the heart of the city, parking is an issue. Most students find it easier to use public transportation.
